STORM (X-MEN)

A rendition of Storm from the House of X reboot. This one posed to be a little tricky because of the cape, I'm not a huge fan of capes. In the initial sketch you can see that I had the cape in a weird sort of implied motion. I actually inked it all the way down to the colours but then came back to finish it up and absolutely detested the way it looked. So I instead did some testing on how the cape should fit and realised during my sketch-ups that an A-line fit for the cape just made sense. Note that I couldn't find any reference photos that showed me the full design of the cape anyway so I was gladdened to have figured it out myself.

The rest of the body I was happier with. Pushing the pose a bit more by extending the distance between the thumb and index finger on her right hand and I placed her knee on the right leg a little too high and realised quite late before correcting it. It's a good time to note the need for a checklist when dealing with proportions. *sigh* LIVE AND LEARN!
